But the Thinker’s chair lights up when they leave the room. Marlize stops the satellites just in time, and the baby is on the way as well. Just in the nick of time, Barry returns from DeVoe’s mind, and Ralph regains control of what is really his own body. And DeVoe is closing in on Cecile to kill her. If you kill Joe, we riot!įaced with an army of Thinker clones, Barry and Ralph combine powers to carve themselves a path. The Flash and Elongated Man are able to make some headway fighting DeVoe with the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man tactic of thinking happy thoughts, but just as Cisco realizes harry might be saying something important, the Thinker arrives in the pocket dimension.
The show’s writers deserve credit for that, and they’ve been able to throw us some curves in past finales, so “We Are The Flash” should be a good time.
Even the villain, the utterly evil Thinker, who wants to drain free will from all people, has a side you don’t always see thanks to the subplot with his wife. The Flash season 4 finale is no outlier in that regard, but befitting the overall tone of the series, it has a little bit more heart than most.
The deck is stacked against the heroes, and they have to figure out a way to overcome long odds to save the city/world/universe,often racing against the clock. Season finales of superhero shows like The Flash often have one common theme. The final showdown with The Thinker has arrived, and Team Flash is going to have to come together like never before to come out on top.
